September Releases

Reading Time: 1 minute

Another month has arrived, and here are my thoughts about September.
Video Games
Two games releasing this month, I am looking forward to. On September 6th, releases Destiny 2. While I didn’t play too much of the first game, it was a good game and can’t wait to try number 2.
Releasing at the end of the month on September 29th is the SNES Classic and Star Fox 2. Due to high demand and low quantity of consoles, I more than likely won’t be able to purchase one of these but nonetheless and I am looking forward to the release of it.
Pokkén Tournament DX, coming out on the 22nd. A fighting game with Pokemon, not much else to say.

Movies
8 – 9/11
22 – Stronger
22 – Battle of the Sexes
29 – American Made

Music
15 – Fall Out Boy Mania
29 – Shania Twain Now

Check out my thoughts on August.

August Releases

Reading Time: 1 minute

August is a slower month than normal for releases but here is what I am looking forward to this month.

Video Games
Coming out of beta on the 8th of the month is LawBreakers releasing on PC and Playstation 4. From the few matches I have played during the beta, it brings an interesting take on first person shooter games, in a genre currently being dominated by Overwatch.
Later on in the month on the 15th, releases Sonic Mania. Sonic Mania will be a celebration of the 25th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. A week later, released Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The Uncharted series, is one of the first games I purchased when I started gaming on the Playstation consoles, so I will be continuing the story line with this game.
Normally, I don’t get excited about the new Madden NFL football games but with the introduction of a story mode, I will definitely be taking a spin at that mode to test it out.
At the end of the month on the 29th, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle comes out. Having never played a game in the Rabbids franchise, when I first saw this game at E3 I was definitely intrigued by its concept.

Take a look back at what released in July.

Xbox – E3 2017

Reading Time: 1 minute

A month removed for E3 and the conferences, here are some of my thoughts.

I have been hyped about Project Scorpio for months now, so I am finally glad they released the release date and price. Releasing on November 7th and costing $499.99. I will definitely be purchasing this console and keeping my Xbox One as a secondary console for another room in my house. With this I will be needing to upgrade my television to a 4K version.

Backwards compatibility adding original Xbox generation games will be great. While I didn’t game too much on the original Xbox, my brother had a bunch of games, that I would watch them play so I am looking forward to playing some of those.

Some of the games I am looking forward to are
Forza Motorsport 7 – October 3rd
Assassin’s Creed Origins – October 27th
Sea of Thieves – Early 2018

July Releases

Reading Time: 1 minute

Here are my thoughts for July regarding games and movies.

Video Games
After E3 taking place last month and hyping up the rest of the year for gaming, July brings 3 games I am looking forward to. Releasing on the Nintendo Switch on the 21st, is Splatoon 2. Splatoon was a great game so I am looking forward to the sequel. Releasing on the 28th, for the Nintendo 3Ds, are Hey! Pikmin and Miitopia. While I most likely won’t be picking up those games on release day, I will be purchasing them later on.

Movies
Starting off the month with a Marvel movie in Spider-Man: Homecoming releasing on the 7th. A few weeks later on the 21st, comes Dunkirk. Being directed by Christopher Nolan and being from the World War II era is very intriguing to me. Looking forward to this followup movie releasing on the 28th, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, to see the progress of what has happened as the result of the first film. Being released over 10 years later, it will be interesting to see a new take on what is being discussed.
