June Releases

Video Games
Currently with this month, not a lot of releases that I am looking forward to. But with E3 coming up later this month, I am eagerly awaiting what will be announced during that for the year to come. One game I am looking forward to is being released on June 30th, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. This game features Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot Warped. While I didn’t play Crash Bandicoot as a kid, I am looking forward to this release so I can experience those games now.

Movies
Two movies releasing on June 2nd, Wonder Woman and Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. Looking forward to the next installment in the DC Universe, when Wonder Woman comes out. Having ran the Captain Underpants books as a kid, I am curious on how the movie will turn out. Later in the month on the 21st comes the release of Transformers: The Last Knight. Having seen the rest of the movies, I am looking forward to watching this one. At the end of the month, brings the release of Despicable Me 3. Being a fan of the minions, I can’t wait for this release.

Music
Three releases I am looking forward to this month. The first release coming from All Time Low on June 2nd, entitled Last Young Renegade. One week later, comes the release of Wolves by Rise Against. Near the end of the month on the 23rd comes the release of Evolve by Imagine Dragons.

Check out my thoughts on last month.

May Releases

May is shaping up to be a slower month than the previous months.

Video Games
This month doesn’t have any appealing releases for me in regards to video games. Just more hype building for E3 in June.

Movies
After seeing the first movie, I am looking forward to watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which released on May 5th.
Later in the month on May 26th, releases 2 movies which I am intrigued by, they are Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Baywatch.

Music
4 years after their last album, I am looking forward to Paramore’s next album entitled After Laughter, releasing on the 2nd of May.

April Releases

March was a great month in terms of releases. April isn’t looking to bad either.

Video Games
After a strong release in March of the Nintendo Switch, the Switch has 2 games I am looking forward to in April.
Releasing on the 25th and 28th are Puyo Puyo Tetris and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Mario Kart 8 is one of the main reasons I had originally bought my WiiU, the fact that it is getting updated is going to be great. Puyo Puyo Tetris seems like a great party game and brings back memories of playing Tetris with friends.

On April 18, The Disney Afternoon Collection is being released. This will bring back memories of gaming from my youth.

Movies
April brings the release of 3 movies I am looking forward to see.
7 – Gifted
14 – The Fate of the Furious
28 – The Circle

Music
On April 21st, 2 albums are being released that I am excited to listen to. 21 8 by Incubus and Love and War by Brad Paisley.

April BTS Releases – Runescape

Another month of updates is coming up for Runescape, so lets take a look what this month has to offer.

Gemstone Dragons
Another high level slayer monster. In theory this look like a good update, but I won’t be able to slay these monsters for a while. With the eventual release of 120 slayer, it is great they are getting starting on releasing monsters for the higher levels to fill in the content gap.

RuneScape Documentary
Sunday April 9th brings the release of the RuneScape Documentary: 15 Years of Adventure. I am looking forward to this premiere. I more than likely won’t be watching it live at 17:30 game time but I will be watching it and reviewing it later on. Having played RuneScape for over 10 year, I am curious to see how this documentary is displayed.

Achievements
They will be releasing the first portion of this update. Currently, I don’t use the current achievement system too much, but looking at the new design and features I will definitely be trying this out when it is released. I often find myself trying to figure out what to train so the recommended activities features is something that I will be trying out.

March Releases

Video Games
March 3rd brings the release of the Nintendo Switch with games such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Bomberman R. Those are just two of the games I am looking forward to for that system.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is getting released on March 7th with Mass Effect: Andromeda being released on March 21st.

Movies
The last 3 Fridays in March bring the release of Beauty and the Beast on the 17th, Power Rangers on the 24th and The Zookeeper’s Wife on the 31st.

Music
Some albums I am looking forward to this month are ÷ by Ed Sheeran and Love and War by Brad Paisley

This is looking like a better month that February.

Xbox Game Pass

Earlier this morning, Xbox Game Pass was announced to be released this Spring. The ability to have an accessible game collection on demand and be able to try games before I want to buy them.

20% of the purchase of a game will it is included in the game pass, with a 10% discount on add-ons for those games as well. On a normal $59.99 game, a 20% discount would mean at $47.99 game, a savings of $12 a game. After buying more than 1 game a month, the discount works out.

With the continuation of Games with Gold as well, this service is going to make the release of Project Scorpio

I will definitely be purchasing this service. Time to clear my Xbox hard drive and work on my current backlog of games.

E3 Tickets

E3 tickets were opened up for the public this year. While attending E3 is on my bucket list, this year I will not be trying to get tickets.

With the Xbox’s Project Scorpio being released Holiday 2017, already being announced the biggest reveal for Microsoft is already announced.

Nintendo is already releasing a console before the event, so I also don’t expect anything huge from them.

Sony just released the Playstation Pro recently as well.

I will hedge my bets on nothing major happening this year and wait for another year before trying to get tickets.

Pokémon Go

I have been playing this app on and off since its release date on July 6th. I even bought the Pokémon Go Plus on release day to help me play the game. I have even bought some of its items through the store using the free Google Play money I earned.

Having been a fan of the Pokémon series since its release in the United States, I was excited when this game was first announced. While it hasn’t fully lived up to expectation, it still is a fun game to play when I am traveling.

With the valentines event happening, I am starting to play the game again and look forward to any other events they are going to release.

Hearthstone

Hearthstone is a game I am been getting into more and more recently. While I am not big into the lore of Warcraft, I enjoy playing as the many different characters the game has to offer. Currently, my main deck is using Jaina Proudmoore. I have yet to purchase any of the expansion packs yet, but I will most likely purchase them in the future.

In the past, I used to play World of Warcraft after a generous Christmas gift of the battle pack with every expansion pack to date. Currently, I am only missing Legion, as I have let my subscription lapse. In the future, I wish to get more into the lore of Warcraft and play more World of Warcraft to accompany my Hearthstone playing.

When I was younger I played the Pokémon Trading Card Game on the Game Boy Color, so this is part of the reason I like playing Hearthstone. I also reacquired the game on the Nintendo 3DS to relive part of my childhood, but more on that later.
