Long Game Savings – App Review

Recently I have been trying a variety of different savings applications to see the different types of apps and what their strengths and weaknesses are. Right now the application I am using is called Long Game Savings. According to their website, over half of Americans play the lottery and 40% of Americans have no savings, so they created an application to combine both to help Americans save more money.

The only negative I have currently found is the interest rate compared to other savings account. The rate is only 0.1% interest. But when they combined the concept of being able to win money is intriguing.

There are 2 types of currency with this app, the first being real money that you transfer in from your checking account and the other currency being coins. Currently the app is free to use and you use the coin currency to try to win money. You gain coins by saving money and can win up to a million dollars.

Give it a try and let me know your thoughts.

MxRoute

With my web hosting being on different sites, I have decided to try a dedicated email hoster to make any web hosting change easier on me. I am using MxRoute. I have only been using them for a couple months but so far I have no complaints for them.

WP Remote – Review

To keep up with all the WordPress plugin and core updates on my many different sites, I have been using WP Remote to easily access and update the sites. This site was developed by Human Made Limited.

I also like the Site History feature for each site, so I can easily view what got updated and when so I can monitor changes in my sites.

I have tried other WordPress site management tools but this one is my favorite so far just for its simplicity and ease of use.

Online Education

The internet is a great place to learn whatever you want to do. Whether it be changing oil in a car, there is a youtube video for that, or starting a blog. The internet has the resources for your to learn what you want to do.

As part of my quest to always be learning new things, I am using StackSkills. Most of my courses I have gotten at a discount using bleepingcomputer.com deals. It is a great place to get courses at good deals.

Hotels.com

For the past 2 years, I have been fortunate enough to be able to travel the country. Whenever I did travel I have been using Hotels.com to book nights because of their rewards program. Being able to get a portion of my hotel paid for just for booking a hotel is a great thing for my wallet.
Coming soon I plan to post some reviews of the different hotels and places I have been in the past couple of years.
Between TripAdvisor and Hotels.com it is easy to find a great hotel for a good price.
